Turning the daydreams into reality. Urban surrounds keep the mind bound by work, traffic and monotony. health, life, vitality and sex ( figuratively) are beyond the limits of the city. Life is vicariously experienced through the rider who rolls out before the sunrise to avoid the constriction taking to strong of a hold on utopian thoughts. Riding is the drug and adrenaline is the release. Veins pulse, revs hit limits, sweat drips, pupils dilate and the sights and sounds change from frustration to child like glee. The staccato patterns of parked cars transitions to beach side trees while the music shift moves from angst to ambient. The cloud, color and tone shift from deep blues, purples and blacks to oranges yellows and reds.
The mood brightens as the day “begins.”
Nature quivers as the beast roars.
Patterns from the mountain and beach start blipping into images of the track as the mind believes reality is elsewhere.
The escape isn’t over... yet.

The Backstory
In late 2010 Colin Ducey and I conspired to make a movie.
Colin had been building a new production vehicle he had dubbed the Stealth Car and it was nearing completion. I mentioned that my 2011 Ducati 1198 SP would be arriving. A few light bulbs appeared our heads and we both recognized the possibilities for greatness.
Originally the conversations started with a few days of shooting test footage with the new stealth car, but as the production planning progressed we moved quickly to developing a short film script.
We used the opportunity to assemble a team of industry professionals and created the spec piece above. It has been a wonderful showcase for both of us and still gets daily views and likes despite being over 5 years old.
